How to truly experience Dubai in 6 days? PART II

As I promised in the last post, in this one we continue with the adventure called Dubai – second part. Without many hesitation I would immediately get to the point, as I have already written about some basic info in the previous post.
PS If you still haven’t read “How to truly experience Dubai in 6 days Part I”, you  can do it here 😉
4. Fourth day – Atlantis Palm Jumeirah Dubai (Dolphin Bay Experience & Waterpark)

Fourth day was reserved for Atlantis The Palm Hotel! This hotel is located at the very end of the famous artificial island Palm Jumeirah, and presents real tourist attraction that you must not miss! Besides the rich offer of entertainment suited for all ages and tastes, the hotel is a true architectural miracle.

To be honest, I must admit that the strongest reason of my visit to this hotel was the Dolphin Bay Experience, which is known to be one of the best in the world, and about which I have been dreaming ever since I was a little. That morning I was interested in nothing but dolphins. Like a kid in front of a Disneyland, I was counting minutes until 10am (when we had our dolphin experience booked), so I could for the first time in my life experience swimming with them, kissing them, hugging them, and just be in their presence, at least for that one hour which flew away like 5 minutes. Because it really is true when they say, “time flies when you’re having fun”, so I wish for you that your time always flies if you know what I mean 😉. It is not possible to describe the joy I felt at that moment. I wished the time could stop so I could enjoy it forever. When you see the photos, I believe everything would be perfectly clear 😃 those are called sincere, blissful child’s smile… Enjoy 😊
Sweet warning: here you will find a bit more photos than usual, but I hope you won’t mind because I really couldn’t decide which one to leave out 😃

Tip for Dolphin Bay: Ticket for this amazing experience you can buy online so you can avoid huge lines you will find when you get there. If you decide to go for the Dolphin Adventure, which was my choice, you should know that in the price full day entrance to Aquenture Waterpark is included.
Important notice: This may require to put your hand in the pocket, but trust me it is worth every penny..dirham*. I have never felt more blessed and peaceful than next to these amazing animals which simply emit the positive energy you must absorb. So, if you haven’t tried it already, and you are packing your bags for Dubai, put everything else in the second plan because Dolphin Bay must be your choice number one 😊
Concerning the Aqeunture Waterpark, which also the part of the Atlantis Hotel, it didn’t leave such an impression on me. Reason simply lies because unfortunately I experienced it straight after the swim with the dolphins, and to be honest I am not a huge fan of the waterslides. It is nice to see it, but I am more of that type: sunbed, sea, cocktail and the look over the horizon 😊

However, if you find yourself there, especially if you are an adrenaline lover, don’t miss to try the famous “Leap of Faith” and “Shark Attack” waterslides.

5. Fifth day – Miracle Garden + Dubai Marina & Jumeirah Beach Residence
Given that in Emirates and Dubai we are used to seeing many architectural achievements and record-breaking constructions that will hardly ever been passed, you won’t be surprised when I say that exactly in Dubai you will find the world’s largest natural flower garden featuring over 109 million flowers planted in the middle of the desert! This sounds crazy, right? Well it’s true 😃

Far away from the city center, in the middle of the desert you will find the biggest oasis in the world. Oasis that I don’t know how it survives, because when I got out of the taxi I thought I would faint since I couldn’t breathe how hot and humid it was. I was almost about to give up and get back in the taxi because if I can’t stand something it is that unbearable heat and feeling your body is melting. That feeling held on to me until I entered and seen this amazing garden. My first reaction was simply – wow! I was standing like that, wondering, and asking myself is it possible, where is the limit? Is there something that these guys won’t make?

Tip: Come early in the morning or late afternoon, avoid midday because it is unbearably hot. You can buy the tickets only at the counter when you get there, it’s not expensive and the entire tour would take 1-1.5 hours.
Dubai Marina

The Dubai city is divided into two urban centers, first, in which I was located – Dubai Downtown (you can read about it in the previous post), and Dubai Marina. It and Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), which is located next to the Marina, are a perfect location for those who came to Dubai to chill, sunbath, go swimming or for those who were already in Dubai before, and would like to simply enjoy this time.

In this area, you will find many luxurious hotels, restaurants, villas, and residences. Since this was my first time in Dubai, as a real tourist I wanted to see and experience as much as I can, so this part of Dubai wasn’t my choice – which doesn’t mean it won’t be the next time 😊 Marina and JBR were reserved only for one romantic night. The perfect night where you will truly feel like you are in a seaside townYou know that feeling? The night has fallen, you can hear the sound of the waves crashing on the beach and smell the sea, the promenade is full of smiling people, and you are walking freshly tanned in your new summer dress? Well if you miss that feeling than I recommend you to go to Dubai Marina and JBR at night 😉

6. Sixth day – Desert Safari (Camel or Hummer Ride & Dinner in the Desert)

If you are hopefully luckier than I was with the flights schedule, and have one more day free in Dubai, I would definitely recommend you try Desert Safari. Camel or Hummer ride, or for the more romantic ones – dinner in the desert under the open sky, whatever you choose you won’t make a mistake. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to experience it in Dubai this time, but I did some years ago in Jordan and trust me it was great. So, due to the lack of the photos and info, I will leave you to further look into it on your own, finding the inspiration in this picture of me on a camel at Petra, Jordan 😉

Unfortunately, here we come to the end of our journey in Dubai, UAE. It is time to fasten our seatbelts because we will be landing in Belgrade, but just temporarily, until the next journey. Stay tuned 😉

PS Given that my post is in the time of the feast, in the sign of a respect to the religion of the people celebrating it, and the destination I was writing about, I would like to use this opportunity to say Happy Ramadan to everyone who is celebrating it.

Until next time,
Ninockar
